What this site collects, what it does not, and what happens to anything you send me. Written to describe how the site actually behaves rather than to cover every eventuality.
Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated by Peak13 AI Consulting, a trading name of Peak13 Potential Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15734692. Registered office: 50 Princes Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 1RJ, United Kingdom.
Peak13 Potential Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything on this page, contact info@peak13.co.uk.
The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no tracking of any kind. There is no database behind it. The enquiry form does not send anything to this website. If you never contact me, I do not learn who you are.
What is collected, and how
The enquiry form
The enquiry form does not transmit anything to this website. When you press send, it opens your own email application with a message already written, addressed to info@peak13.co.uk. Nothing leaves your device until you send that email yourself, and you can edit or discard it first.
Once you send it, I receive your name, email address, company name and whatever you wrote, as an ordinary email in my inbox.
Booking a call
Calls are booked through Calendly, which is a separate company and a separate website. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email address and the time you chose, and passes those to me. Calendly's own privacy policy governs what happens on their site.
The waste calculator
The calculator on the home page runs entirely inside your browser. The numbers you type are not sent anywhere, not stored, and not visible to me. Close the tab and they are gone.
Server logs
This site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, their servers record standard technical information when a page is requested, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used for security and keeping the site running. I do not use it to identify visitors and I do not combine it with anything else.
Fonts
The typefaces are served by Google Fonts. This means Google receives your IP address in order to deliver the font files. No cookies are set by this. See the cookie policy for detail.
Why I am allowed to hold it
If you contact me about work, the lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: you approached a business about its services and would reasonably expect a reply. If you become a client, the basis becomes performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b). Server logs rest on legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and available.
I do not send marketing emails to people who have not asked for them.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not become work: deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
- Client records: kept for six years after the engagement ends, which is the period UK tax and limitation rules require.
- Server logs: retained by Vercel on their own short rolling schedule.
- Calculator inputs: never held at all.
Who else sees it
I do not sell personal data and I do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Data is handled by a small number of service providers acting on my instructions: Vercel (hosting), Calendly (call booking), my email and document providers, and my accountant where a client engagement requires it. Some of these are based in the United States, and those transfers rely on the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
I will disclose data where the law requires it, and not otherwise.
Client work and data I see on your behalf
During an audit or a Waste Map I may see personal data belonging to your business, such as staff or customer records held in your systems. In that situation you remain the controller and I act as your processor. That relationship is governed by a written data processing agreement forming part of the engagement contract, not by this policy.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or provide it in a portable format. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. There is no charge, and I will respond within one month.
No decisions are made about you by automated means, and there is no profiling.
Complaints
If you think I have handled your data badly, please tell me first at info@peak13.co.uk so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people I already hold data about will be notified by email.
