This site does not use cookies. That is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what that means and why there is no consent banner asking you to agree to anything.
No cookies are set
This website sets no cookies of any kind, first party or third party. It also uses no local storage, no session storage and no device fingerprinting. Nothing is written to your browser and nothing persists after you close the tab.
No analytics, no tracking
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heatmap tool and no visitor tracking. I do not know who visits, how often, or where you go next. If you want me to know something about you, you have to tell me, and there is a form for that.
Why there is no consent banner
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is required before storing or accessing information on your device for non-essential purposes. This site does not store or access anything on your device, so there is nothing to consent to. Adding a banner would be theatre.
The waste calculator
The calculator on the home page runs inside your browser. The three numbers you type are used to work out an estimate on screen and are then discarded. They are not saved to your device, not sent to this site, and not visible to me.
Two third parties are involved in serving the page
Neither sets a cookie on this site, but both are worth naming:
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to respond. No cookie is set. I am moving these fonts onto my own server to remove this.
- Vercel hosts the site. Their servers keep standard technical logs of page requests, including IP address, for security and reliability. This is ordinary server operation rather than tracking.
Links that leave this site
Booking a call opens Calendly, and the footer links to LinkedIn. Those are separate websites that do use cookies, and their own policies apply the moment you arrive. Nothing happens until you click.
If this changes
If I ever add analytics or anything that stores data on your device, this page will be updated first and a proper consent mechanism will appear before anything is set. It will not be switched on quietly.
